Woodland High School Gymnasium
Working with the district's building committee and staff for the addition of a second gym at the Woodland High School has given us the opportunity to provide creative design solutions and to encourage a collaborative solution-oriented team approach through the Lease-Leaseback project delivery method.
Blending with the architecture of the existing school and looking toward the design goal of low maintenance and sustainability of this new facility, the design team worked with the colors and textures of concrete masonry to design a new gymnasium that meets the expectations of the building committee.
The lease-leaseback project delivery method has contributed to a very successful method in controlling project quality, costs, and schedules on this project.
This is the first in a series of projects we will be working on in concert with the district and the Woodland community to find and develop solutions to meet the challenges facing this community. As a part of this facility's master plan expansion, we have recently begun the needs assessments, educational specifications, and design studies for a new K-8 elementary school. This new facility will reflect the agricultural heritage of the Woodland community, while focusing on the state-of-the-art requirements of a 21st century educational environment.
