Comcast Cable - New Regional Operations Center
Comcast Cable continues to expand and modernize its state of the art digital network and administrative facilities nationwide with the design and construction of a new regional operations center in Sacramento. Comcast is working closely with Synthesis Partners to implement an aggressive 3 year plan to place this center along with 15 other facilities online to serve the northern California network. ImageWorks has been assisting AT&T and now Comcast over the past six years in addressing the facility requirements as this leading telecommunications company sets the standard for the ever changing telecommunications market.
In this competitive market, Comcast requires that projects meet very aggressive time schedules as well as projects be designed and constructed to meet tight budgets, and this project was no exception to this expectation. Although budgets were restrictive, the design team created a design solution which exceeded the architectural statement that Comcast set out to achieve with this facility. This facility is over 19,000 s.f., set on approximately 4 acres and houses 6,900 s.f. of telecommunications equipment along with over 13,000 s.f. of offices and conference areas to serve the highly specialized market segment in northern California.
This regional operations center is defining a new standard for architectural excellence for Comcast Cable in California.
