E Center Head Start
Childcare seems to be an every-growing need for families. E Center Head Start continues to respond to this need by expanding their services and facilities in the north state. E Center commissioned Synthesis Partners in 2009 to help them through the process of developing a new facility in the City of Williams to serve the migrant families of this community. ImageWorks served as the project manager as well as the architect for this project, managed the project budget, project schedule, selection of building contractor, and coordination and approvals with the City and state.
The design process also included feasibility studies to determine property location, design alternatives, and processes to expedite the project schedule. The greatest challenge of this project was managing the ever changing approval requirements of the City of Williams and thus maintaining the original project schedule. Of the 90 days we lost through the approval process, we were able to collapse our schedule sufficiently to regain 60 days of the loss.
Finding creative design solutions within an often limited budget is a challenge we enjoy accepting and accomplishing for our clients. We were able to maintain the budget and develop an exciting new facility for the E Center Head Start in the City of Williams.
